碩士 / 東吳大學 / 國際經營與貿易學系 / 103 / In response to high visibility and timeliness by internet popularity and information communication, MNCs (multi-nation corporations) have to speed up their products distribution to the market. Most enterprises are adjusting their supply chain operation and process to improve their competiveness. MNCs deploy their supply chain globally, maximize their global profit and meet local customers’ requirements everywhere.
This study is based on previous literatures, MNC case studies and interviews by global logistics service providers, of which they play a very important role in global logistics service performance. These include close connection with their customers, suppliers, manufactures and logistics service providers as well as tight integration of production, sales, inventory, shipment and transportation information, and providing business intelligence for management’s strategies and decisions. Moreover, it includes logistics service provider selection criteria which includes 「Shipment Tracking and Contingency Plan」、「Safe Transportation 」and 「Logistics Cost」 (etc., ) for other enterprises’ assessment and application to improve their logistics performance in practice.
