Factor Contributes to Employee Turnover:An Empirical Study of A Taiwanese Factory in Shanghai. / 員工離職因素分析:一個上海台商的實證研究

碩士 / 世新大學 / 企業管理研究所(含碩專班) / 102 / A Taiwanese factory in Shanghai has faced high employee turnover problem for about five years. Therefore this thesis deals with 594 dossiers of this company and analyzes the factors which contribute to turnover or stay-on-job hehavior of labors.
Compared with the 126 on-job-staff’s personnel data and 468 turnover labors’, this research found out that 197 of 468 turnover labors are voluntarily and preventablly to leave their job, however those who try to outward look for opportunity and develop their careers, are about 73 persons, which sum up to become 270 out of 468, become more than half of the turnover labors’ rate (estimately 58%).
Actually, those who have voluntarily but unpreventable reason to leave their jobs are 160 persons, the number out of 468 is estimately 34% of the 5-year- turnover-labors. Therefore, the HR managers of this Taiwanese company may have to map out a more efficient solution plan and practical suggerstions to help improve keeping training and retention of staff.
