碩士 / 國立臺南藝術大學 / 音樂學系碩士班 / 102 / Franz Joseph Haydn was one of the most prominent composers in the classical period, and he had a great contribution to symphony and string quartet. The author aims to look for the appropriate interpretation of "Cello concerto no.2 in D major" through the research.
The article consists of four chapters: Chapter one provides the social movement in relation to the classical period and composer's background. Chapter two deals with the composition style, the influences on the composer, and categorizing them in chronological order. Chapter three provides a detail analysis of "Haydn Cello Concerto no.2 in D major". Chapter four provides a comparison of the excerpts from two different editions.
