Effects of The Unstable Rowing Ergometer on Rowing Performance / 擺動划船測功儀對運動表現的影響

碩士 / 臺北市立大學 / 運動器材科技研究所 / 102 / The purpose of this study was to compare the stroking force and kinematics of the lower extremity on both rowing ergometer (E) and unstable rowing ergometer (UE). Method: This study was recruited 11 college rowers; randomly perform a 1 minute test on each of the ergometers. The resistance was at the level of 4, stroking frequency was 30 strokes per minute, and the overall intensity was set to match 60% of the personal best record from 2000m rowing. Parameters of peak stroking force, rate of force development, time to peak force, impulse, and the average force from each of the eight rowing phases were gathered by a load cell. Data on joint angles, angular velocities and range of motion of the lower extremity joints were captured by a high speed camera. A paired t test was tested all parameters on two devises. Result: The peak force, rate of force development, time to peak force, impulse were non-significant. The force and the impulse on E were significantly greater than on UE in the initial drive phase, whereas the same parameters appears to be significantly lesser on E than on UE in the ending drive phase. The joint angle of the left knee on E was significantly greater but the angle of the left ankle was significantly lesser during the catch phase; the joint angle of the left hip was significantly greater on E than on UE. The angular velocity of the ankle joints acquired on UE was significantly greater on the right side during the fifth stage of stroking;. the angular velocity of the hip joints acquired on E was significantly greater on the left side during the eighth stage of stroking. Conclusion: It was cleared that the additional unstable factor of the UE does has its effect on force performance during the initial phases of stroking; in order to maintain stability, kinematics of the lower limbs from both direction of stoking motions were also varied.
