Numerical Simulation and Performance Analysis for Water Jet Propulsion System embedded in Ships / 船艦水下噴射推進系統數值模擬與性能分析

碩士 / 國防大學理工學院 / 造船及海洋工程碩士班 / 103 / This research is developed with Sliding-Mesh method in numerical simulation to calculate three-dimensional flow field on the performance of water jet propulsion system. To find out an efficient and systematic design of the water jet, the principle of mathematical statistic and Design of Experiment (DOE) method are used, thrust is set to be the quality characteristics which is for the Larger-the-Better (LTB). In this study, three controllable factors are considered, such as the setting angle of stator, the numbers of blade on rotor and stator respectively. After the full-factors design of an experiment, a screen experiment is firstly carried out, the main factors which affect thrust and the interaction between different two factors will be found out. Furthermore, this work must be to conduct a series of analyzing works that include Taguchi method whose aim is to deal with a robust design, ANOVA method whose purpose is to analyze the variances in experimental data by the use of Signal-to-Noise ratio for investigating the contribution of factors and residual. Then, Artificial Neural Network(ANN) which is a implement to construct a non-linear model and Genetic Algorithm (GA) which is a method to find out the best combination of levels for factors would be completely performed in this study. Moreover, it has been proved that a water jet propulsion system conducted in this research has higher thrust efficiency with the help of DOE method
