Research of Junior Achievement Motivation’s and Work Values’ Effect on Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy - From views of difference in generations and abroad working holiday experiences / 青年成就動機與工作價值觀對生涯決定自我效能影響之研究─世代與海外打工經驗差異之觀點

碩士 / 國立中正大學 / 勞工關係學系暨研究所 / 103 / This study focuses on 18 to 30-year-old young people of different generations, with or without overseas work experiences, to find whether their achievement motivation and work values have interference on their career decision-making self-efficacy.
First, a validation of relationship between career decision-making self-efficacy with achievement motivation and with work values is carried out, and a further revalidation follows, which investigate the different interference on career decision-making self-efficacy by work values and career achievement motivation from the two different generation groups, 18 to 24 years old and 25 to 30 year; the same authentication is also applied on another classification of groups, one group with overseas work experience and another without.
The subjects in the study are young people with age from 18 to 30 year-olds whether the presence of overseas working experience they have in their career, as a whole is divided into four research objects. Through online questionnaires websites, supplemented with paper and post questionnaires, 822 valid questionnaires are acquired in the end. Descriptive statistical analysis, CFA, reliable analysis, analysis of correlation and SEM are used in verifying the hypothesis.
The results are as follows:
1.Achievement motivation has positive impact on career decision-making self-efficacy.
2.The cognitive value of work values have a positive effect on career decision-making self-efficacy; the affective value and instrumental value have no significant positive effect on career decision-making self-efficacy.
3.For different generations of youth, the cognitive value of work values and achievement motivation pose significant interference on career decision-making self-efficacy.
4.The presence and absence of overseas working experience brings the cognitive value of work values and achievement motivation with significant interference on career decision-making self-efficacy.
