碩士 / 國立中正大學 / 通訊資訊數位學習碩士在職專班 / 103 / In recent years, with progressing of Internet technology, several value added network services have been rapidly developed. One of Internet technology is cloud computing, which can provide services with almost no limitation of computation power and storage space.
Concerning that the over-high temperature in the refrigerated warehouses may cause goods spoilage and the over-cool may waste energy, temperature control of refrigerated warehouses is important. On-site inspection in refrigerated warehouses is a costly way to find energy consumption. Deploying remote sensors and monitoring on the cloud can reduce human resource cost and easily scale to multiple depots.
The majority of research in the extensive literature survey focused on small regions. In a traditional management approach, the energy consumption only can be known in a rough and out-of-time manner, such as a hard copy bill specifying total usage in kilowatt hour (kWh) granularity and monthly/bi-monthly frequency, otherwise, an in-site person is required to inspect the situation of refrigerated warehouses.
By the means of realizing service with cloud computing, this study conducts power monitoring of general electric power panels and temperature monitoring of refrigerated warehouses on multiple depots in warehouse management of an island-wide real case in Taiwan. Management echelon and authorized staff may accurately know the situation of each depot in real time from the proposed system which collects power consumption and temperature and analyzes these data in the cloud. Furthermore, they can find out the reason of improper consumption and unusual temperature events in the visualized analysis result, and adjust those operations and process in refrigerated warehouses. The power and temperature monitoring cloud service in this study includes dozens of branches spreading in thirteen counties of Taiwan.
