博士 / 中原大學 / 工業與系統工程研究所 / 103 / Due to global economic growth and competitive markets, outsourcing through Third Party Logistics (3PL) has become critical in global logistic industries. The complex logistic industry and the existence of Big Data result in the need to consider the application of Internet of Things (IoT) in integrating Vendor Management Inventory (VMI) and 3PL. In this study, we aim to improve supply chain competitiveness through inventory cost reduction and quick response. Recently, VMI has been widely used in manufacturing industry; its use in logistic industries will become the future trend. We present a research using a Case-Based Reasoning as a problem-solving technique Comparative analysis of the three project examples are done. The plan to apply the IoT platform is analyzed to investigate the advantages and disadvantages of the system. An innovative process framework is then developed. This study aims to create a value-added system which will result in a win-win economic benefit for all players in the chain. IoT integrates e-commerce platforms and co-ordinates each enterprise to improve the effectiveness of the supply chain. The convenience of synchronized IoT platform increases the flexibility of VMI efficiency thereby also increase the efficiency of the 3PL industry. It also helps reduce Bullwhip Effects and ensure a sustainable and competative logistics.
