碩士 / 開南大學 / 財務金融學系 / 103 / Taipei has been an economic center of Asia. Foreign companies in major countries import high-tech products from Mainland China, which is a major market Taipei exports its high-tech products. The establishment of Taipei as a RMB offshore center is helpful to the economic and financial development of Taipei. As a forecast that Asian GDP will account for 51% of world GDP in 2050, Taipei will be certainly a RMB offshore center. This study first reviews the evolution of international monetary system and observes the process of RMB internationalization. Also, this study investigates the RMB case of Hong Kong in developing into a RMB offshore center. Finally, this study discusses how Taipei can develop into a RMB offshore center.
