Theoretically optimimize the design parameters and analyze their application for an arrayed plate-fins heat sink / 散熱鰭片最佳設計參數之理論研究及其應用

碩士 / 國立高雄應用科技大學 / 模具工程系 / 103 / Reducing the heat problem for electronic or lighting equipment is becoming a key issue, because the electronic or lighting equipment damage usually results from thermal energy existing in the instrument. The cooling medium, heat sink, is frequently utilized in the electronic products for dissipating the thermal energy at the heat source. Generally, the heat sink is designed to yield the increase in the surface area to enhance the thermal conduction appearing in the heated body. However, it is rarely employs ventilation design to help eliminate the thermal energy due to heat source. This thesis provides the modified ventilated heat sink (MVHSM) which applies the vent design on the traditional heat sink to increase the heat dissipations for the heat sink.
This thesis applies CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) ANSYS Icepak to investigate the thermal field of a LED desk lamp and then compares the numerical results with experimental measurements to substantiate the accuracy of the numerical evaluations. Afterward, this study utilizes the CFD-LED lamp model to analyze the relation between the design parameter and the thermal performance of MVHSM in order to decide the adequate/optimal design parameters for MVHSM.
Based on the analytical results, temperatures distributed throughout the LED lamp can be reduced as MVHSM is applied , comparing with that by using the original heat dissipation design appearing in the LED lamp. It substantiates that the present MVHSM is able to enhance the heat dissipations for a heated component.
