碩士 / 銘傳大學 / 都市規劃與防災學系碩士班 / 103 / The phenomenon of Globalization has penetrated into aspects such as space capital and population flow quickly, therefore, it has created many globalized cities in Singapore, Tokyo of Japan and Shanghai, Hong Kong of Mainland China; recently, the ambition for many cities to develop tertiary industry has been highlighted along with the setup of Hong Kong Disney, Expo 2010 Shanghai of China, Universal Studio of Singapore, meanwhile, this has also verified the emerging of consumption facility, at the same time, these phenomena will be used for investigation in this research to be different than the past existed globalization phenomenon. However, what needs to be noticed is the impact on local areas generated by the flow of capital, population and space consumption facility, for example, since the revolution and opening-up in Mainland China in the past, its consistent economic development model has created cases such as Chongqing and Shenzhen, which all exist the socio-ecnomic vulnerability phenomenon of urbanization process, another example is the opening-up for development of Pudong in 1990, and the city’s face and industry’s form have been changed in as short as two decades, moreover, the phenomenon of vulnerability regarding environment, policy and social impact has been seen in Shanghai Disney, which is favored by the twelve five-year plan; therefore, vulnerability statement of this research based on localized experience of Pudong Shanghai could be reached through two methods of in-depth interview and field research: (1) Generally, it is quite limited to collect data in Mainland China, and it is especially true for researches related to the investigations of the negative influence and impact of entertainment facilities on local areas; (2) Under economy-oriented development, policy perspective might have influence on the environmental perspective, especially the annual plan (five-year plan in Mainland China) and environmental evolutionary process might induce fragility factors, meanwhile, (3) The fragility perspective tends to concentrate on the reserve place of Shanghai Disney Resort and its peripheral new town of Chuansha, and this is highly related to the policy, environment, vulnerability and even toughness investigated in our study; after initial analysis, it was found in this research that Shanghai Disney Resort has now faced (1) Environmental location threat; (2) Suspicion on its carrying capacity (the possibility of human induced disaster), and (3) During the industry development process, the phenomena of vulnerability such as land replacement and policy ambiguity, and area development limitation caused by all kinds of tertiary industry developments. And all these phenomena are targets to be confirmed in this study.
