碩士 / 國立成功大學 / 水利及海洋工程學系 / 103 / This study verified the effect of noise mitigation by using Hydro-sound-damper, a new developed technique. Comparing with the traditional underwater noise mitigation method (Air Bubble Curtain), Hydro-sound-damper(HSD) is not only more appropriate in the strong current field, but also presents several advantages, such as better noise reduction at low frequency ranges, higher mobility, and lower costs. The experiment is carried out in a fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) experimental tank with a hydrophone and a stainless steel pile. The noise was generated by driving the pile with a hammer released from the standard levels. . Three mechanisms of sound mitigation, multiple reflection, resonance, and different impedance, occur when the pile driving noise propagate through the HSD. The difference results with the variation parameter of balloon material, balloon size, and piling energy are also showed and discussed. The result of HSD’s mitigation shows that the piling noise decreases about 15 dB in broad band, and more than 35 dB in specific frequencies.
