碩士 / 國立成功大學 / 資源工程學系 / 103 / Groundwater and contamination migration modelling is an important issue in integrated environmental remediation especially in industrial area. This study used Groundwater Modelling System (GMS) to construct a hydrological model in coastal area in west Taiwan. The tidal influence was also concerned in transient simulation to assess the influence of contamination monitoring system. A module, MODPATH, was used to track the particles path in research area and dispersion of contamination combined to describe the monitoring area of contamination source when pollution occurred. Then the possible contamination range of specific wells was also defined.
The results showed that the tidal effect is in the range of about 500 m from the coastline in study area. Based on simulation results in 2012 to 2014 showed the trend of groundwater level fluctuations within the error less to 50 cm, and the RMSE was 0.427 m of totally 50 wells.
Flow lines and dispersion were considered to assess the influence area of monitoring wells, and the possible influence range of contamination of each well was estimated. If the possible detected area of each well is known, that will reduce the investigated range when contamination detected. The results showed that 32% area of whole industrial zone is under monitoring by current 50 wells. And the possible maximum area of the contamination was occupied 59% of whole industrial zone when being detected. In addition, the monitoring area of contamination source could be reduced when the leakage time was known. The results indicated that this study methodology can be used to find contamination source quickly in research area.
