during holiday is an important adjustment of the life style. The trend for energy saving and
carbon reduction arises gradually and the light traveling emphasizing relaxation and no
burden is born accordingly. In respond to the decline of the sugar industry, the Taiwan
Sugar Corporation has transitioned itself into diversified operation. Utilizing the existing
sugar cane transportation railway, for example, tourism for the rural scenery of central and
southern Taiwan can be developed for people to relax their body and mind as well as adjust
the pace of living.
In this study, the digital multimedia technology is utilized in an innovative integration
manner and the concept of light traveling is deliberated to conduct the digital innovation
value-addition and digital collection on Paweng Route and Wushulin Route which are the
two sugar-railway tourist routes still operating in Tainan Region. With the spreading
capabilities of digital platform, more people who are interested in the railway traveling can
understand the development and the status of sugar-railway tourism and therefore achieve
the goal of tourism marketing
