碩士 / 國立高雄海洋科技大學 / 航運管理研究所 / 103 / Recently, due to the enlargement of containerships, the times ships berth at terminals have became longer. Thus, a stowage plan should be necessary to reduce the berthing time of ships. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the determinants of stowage plan for container ships. In this paper, based on the relevant literature and the features of stowage plan operations, the stowage plan factors (SPFs) is first investigated. An Fuzzy AHP approach is then developed to evaluate those SPFs' weights. Finally, the carriers berthing their ships at Kaohsiung Port were empirically investigated to valid the research model. The results could provide practical information for ship carriers to improve the performance of stowage plans. Further, the results may also provide references in educational trainings for new stowage planners.
