Calculations on Motions and Hydrodynamic Loads of Ships in Seas / 波浪中船舶運動及水動力負荷之計算

碩士 / 國立高雄海洋科技大學 / 造船及海洋工程研究所 / 103 / This paper has used the potential flow theory and the 3D panel method to calculate the ship motions and wave loads on ships in wave in frequency domain. After calculating the wave loads on hull, the loads could be transferred to the ship structure to analyze the stress distribution.
During ships sail in sea, the wave and wind alter at all times, and the wave loads on ship hull and ship motions vary also with the time. For the ship structural design the wave loads will be acquired on the base of empirical formula by the rules, but it does not achieve from the wave load calculations of natural seas. In this work the program Wasim from DNV has been used to exercise the hydrodynamic and ship structural analysis. The DNV-Wasim is a famous software to simulate the ship’s motions in wave and estimate the wave loads of ships sailing in a real sea, which is based on the potential flow theory and the panel method. Applying with the DNV-Genie program, the wave load distribution on the ship hull can be successfully transferred to the ship structure, which can be applied to all further works of analyses about ship structures.
In the work a ship has been used as an example ship. Motions of the ship in the wave have been successfully simulated and wave loads distribution also has been transferred to structures of the ship. The results can be applied for the future to all other works about structural analyses of ships sailing in seas.
