When the resin hardening process, it is exotherm state by chemical reaction. The thermal field problem hasn't decrease and the gel coat has thermal stress concentration even local failure that are caused by acute corner of ship.
The study is thermo-mechanical couple simulations by FEM analysis software. To obtain the gel coat's thermal stress concentration by ANSYS to analyze different corner or superstructure. It will be providing results for ship designer. The results can reduce failure of gel coat is caused by thermal stress.
