A Study on EMI Measurements for Shipboard Communication Equipment / 船舶通訊設備電磁干擾量測研究

碩士 / 國立高雄海洋科技大學 / 輪機工程研究所 / 103 / Electronic communication equipment installed on modern ships provide many different types of mission support functions. These electronic systems installed in a narrow space environment, antenna and non-antenna effects of various non-metal components and a large number of bunched cable laying cause electromagnetic interference (EMI) and its propagation. In order to ensure a variety of electronic devices and systems to work properly, the EMI on the ship should be properly controlled for the overall system electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). The main purpose of this thesis is to establish a set of standard operation procedures for the EMI measurement on ships according to MIL-STD-1605 standard and other international standards. The sources of interference, interference receivers, and coupling channels are considered in the measurement to establish the procedure for providing engineers useful information to design similar systems.Based on the measurements obtained from the thesis, it allows engineers to effectively understand the interference signal patterns and determine the possible source of interferences for further devising possible improvement measures to enhance the quality of new vessels. The EMI measurements of a practical ship are used to demonstrate and ensure performance of the proposed analysis model.
