碩士 / 國立中山大學 / 經濟學研究所 / 103 / This study uses Gordon-Schaefer model and Gompertz-Fox model to find intrinsic growth rate、catchability coefficient and environment carrying capacity by purse seine data from the WCPFC regarding the bigeye tuna in the Western and Central Pacific Ocean. After comparing the results from both models, we find the Gompertz-Fox model is a better fit for the analysis of bigeye tuna. I include both the quantities of catches from purse seine and longline fishing to simulate bigeye tuna''s ecological environment. Such a change gives the policy makers a clearer direction on how to make bigeye Tuna''s ecological environment a sustainable one. Finally, the sensitivity analysis is employed to understand the impacts of various parameter changes on the equilibrium values of two fishery models and find that environment carrying capacity is the most important factor effecting the resources in the MPV fishery.
