Activation of innate immunity of white shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei receiving Gracilaria tenuistipitata extract and Sargassum oligocystum extract / 白蝦血淋巴球接受龍鬚菜萃取物及馬尾藻萃取物啟動其先天性免疫

碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 水產養殖學系 / 103 / Immune activation of white shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei received hemocytes Gracilaria extract and Sargassum extract was examined. Shrimp hemocytes receiving Gracilaria extract (0.5, 1, 3 mg/ml) and Sargassum extract (0.5, 1, 3 mg/ml), were examined for degranulation, PO activity and RB, changes in cell size and cell viability, and necrosis. Shrimp hemocytes treated with 0.5 mg/ml Gracilaria extract, caused degranulation, and the percentage of large cells among hemocytes deceased from 82.58% to 56.67% after 60 min, whereas the percentage of live cells decreased from 72.07% to 54.28% after 60 min. Shrimp hemocytes receiving 1 mg/ml showed increases in PO activity and RB. Shrimp hemocytes treated with 0.5 mg/ml Sargassum extract, caused degranulation, and the percentage of large cells among hemocytes deceased from 89.95% to 58.73% after 60 min, whereas the percentage of live cells decreased from 84.15% to 61.02% after 60 min. Shrimp hemocytes receiving 1 mg/ml showed increases in PO activity and RB. In conclusion, shrimp incubated in Gracilaria extract and Sargassum extract caused activation of innate immune system as an evidence of degranulation, change in cell size and viability, and increases in PO activity and RB.
