Assessment of the capacity of algae fixing carbon dioxide in high carbon dioxide level and their biomass conversion rates / 藻類在超高濃度二氧化碳下吸收二氧化碳能力之評估及其生物量轉換率

碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 水產養殖學系 / 103 / Ulva fasciata, Sargassum horneri, and 3 colors of Kappaphycus alvarezii, and microalga, Nannochloropsis oculata were used to assess the capacity of carbon dioxide fixing that bred under high culture density, nature daylight, suitable temperatures and high carbon dioxide level(8000~9000 ppm), as well as their biomass rates. NDIR CO2 meter was used to estimate CO2 concentration in a closed system of algal culture to directly determine the values of CO2 uptaking by algae during a long period, in which their biomass were also evaluated. Consequently, U. fasciata shown the best rate of CO2 absorption when cultured with high density of 500g/20L. U. fasciata and K. alvarezii cultured in the density of 400g/20L, had the best biomass conversion. S. horneri had good ability of CO2 absorption, but resulted negative growth rate in the density of 400g/20L.
