A Study on Harbor Tranquility Improvement of Ba-Do-Ze Fishery Port / 八斗子漁港靜穩度評估改善研究

In this research, a series of numerical simulations of the harbor tranquility of Ba-Do-Ze fishery port have been carried out. The wave condition inside the original harbor layout were firstly simulated and evaluated to find the characteristics of the harbor and found that there exists natural frequencies caused by current harbor layout. These frequencies enlarged the wave oscillations inside the harbor during typhoon intrusions. A series of new layout to improve the harbor tranquility were then designed and simulated, including the enhancement of wave absorbing ability at the wave dissipation area in front of the entrance, and the wave dissipation ability of the wharf inside the harbor. Also, a couple new layouts were tested. In concluded results show that, due to the waves intrude into the Bi-Sa port are the reflected waves instead of directly from the incident waves, only limited improvement can be done if only enhanced the wave dissipation ability at wave absorbing area.
