碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 教育研究所 / 103 / This research aims to explore marine culture literacy, place identity and their relationships on the elementary school teachers in Keelung City. Based on the stratified sampling, there are 363 teachers within 33 schools involved in this survey, and the response rate is 97.6%. The statistical methods of data analysis include descriptive statistics, ANOVA, t-test, Pearson product-moment correlation and multi-regression. The conclusions are as follows:
1. The score of marine culture literacy shows more than median level. The highest dimension is marine history, and the lowest dimension is marine literature.
2. Based on the marine culture literacy, the age is more than 46 is significantly higher than less than 35, the length of teaching experience is more than 16 years is significantly higher than 6-15 years and the hometown is Keelung is significantly higher than the non-Keelung.
3. The score of place identity is more than median level. The highest dimension is practical place identity, and the lowest dimension is psychological dependence identity.
4. Based on the place identity, the age is more than 46 is significantly higher than less than 45, the length of teaching experience is more than 16 years is significantly higher than less than 15 years and the hometown is Keelung is significantly higher than the non-Keelung.
5. It shows positive high correlations between marine culture literacy and place identity with all of the dimensions, especially, marine art, marine history and marine folk festivals and beliefs can predict place identity.
6. The teachers with higher marine literacy, actually, they also have stronger place identity, moreover, the teachers with higher place identity, they also have better marine literacy.
According to the above conclusions, the researcher provides suggestions for teachers, schools, educational administrative institution and further study.
