A Research on the Teaching Module of National Museum of Marine Science and Technology on the Elementary School Middle Grade Students- An Example of Marine Science Gallery / 海洋科技博物館國小中年級教學模組之研究-以海洋科學廳為例

碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 教育研究所 / 103 / This study aims to develop marine science teaching modules that use "marine science hall" of the "National Museum of Marine Science and Technology" as field trip place, and through experimental teaching to understand the effectiveness and impactthis of teaching module for the elementary school middle grade students in learning marine science. The study used experimental teaching, actually investigate the effects of the exhibition hall in National Museum of Marine Science and Technology for students learning, this study used one-group pretest-posttest design of experimental research, to understand the attitude , views and feelings situation of students for teaching in maritime museum.
The researcher do the experimental teaching for a period in 10 sessions of six weeks, to 95 fourth grade students of one elementary school in Keelung, curriculum is divided into the course of interior teaching and field trip teaching. During the teaching experiment, the researchers assessments the implement effective of "marine science" teaching module through research tools such as the interior teaching course, field trip theaching course, the learning environment scale of National Museum of Marine Science and Technology, marine science learning attitude questionnaire, the curriculum feedback of marine science hall and the learning effectiveness questionnaire of National Museum of Marine Science and Technology.
The results are shown below:
1. The marine science knowledge of students have a significant increase in student's learning effectiveness on National Museum of Marine Science and Technology after marine science teaching modules(t=-17.287,p<0.001).
2. The marine science learning attitude of students is increased in the attitude of marine science and the attitude to participate in the discussion activities of marine science after marine science teaching modules.
3. The facets average of Likert scale in the learning environment scale of National Museum of Marine Science and Technology is 4.03, this shows students is satisfied with the learning environment of National Museum of Marine Science and Technology.
4. The facets average of Likert scale in the curriculum feedback of marine science hall was 4.10, this shows students is satisfied with the curriculum of marine science hall.
According to these results, this teaching module of maritime museum can effectively enhance students' knowledge of the ocean, and enhance students' learning attitude of marine science.
The results of this study will provide related-units of marine education, and provideteaching suggestions for the reference of developers or reasearchers of teaching modules, and as well as research recommendations for future researchers.
