Evaluation of Fish Scale as Periodontal Regeneration Membrane for Guided Tissue Regeneration / 評估魚鱗作為牙周引導組織再生膜

碩士 / 亞東技術學院 / 材料與纖維應用科技研究所 / 103 / The aim of this study is to develop a novel material with fish scale. In this study, the native structure of fish scale was maintained finally. The untreated fish scales were removed film and thinned by purification process. The fish scale film were fabricated at 37 ℃ and 60 ℃ to form film with dense collagen layer structure. Analysis of physical properties with thickness, moisture content, contact angle, mechanical properties, thermal properties, degradation test were performed for fish scale film. The feasibility of periodontal regeneration membrane application was also evaluated through cytotoxicity, cell attachment, cell migration.
The results revealed that thickness and moisture content were achieve 351.2 μm and 85.1 %, contact angle were less than 90∘, belong hydrophilic structural materials; then suture tension and tensile strength were 0.033 MPa and 0.059 MPa in average.
Cell morphology showed well cell adhesion, growth and division on fish scale film, it revealed that fish scale film provided nontoxic and biocompatible environment for cell growth. WST-8 results indicated cell viability achieve 70% over.
It reveals the material is provided with nontoxic and biocompatibility. Cell migration test results indicate cells are no fall in a few days, the reason dense structure makes the cells cannot penetrate. The ultimate degradation achieve 28 days. It’s expected to apply to repair periodontal regeneration membrane.
