The Case Study of the Character Education Implementation in Hai-Chian Elementary School / 國小品格教育實施之研究-以百大特色小學海墘國小為例

碩士 / 靜宜大學 / 教育研究所 / 103 / The purpose of the study is to investigate the progress, strategy, effect, and propect of the character education implementation in Hai-Chian Elementary School. The investigation has been carried out by a semi-structured interview and documentary analysis. At first, it started with the literature review to understand the significance, development and teaching methods of character education. Next, it used the designed outline ’Interview Outline of The Case Study of the Character Education Implementation in Hai-Chian Elementary School’ to do the in-depth interview. The interviewees include the past and present principals, the directors, the section chiefs, the teachers, and the members of the parent-teacher association. As the results of the interview and the documentary analysis, the main conclusions of the present study are as follows:
1. In the current situation of implementation
1.1. Making the character education as the main development characteristic to constructively
establish the character education resource center.
1.2. Using the local and common teaching materials.
2. In the strategy of implementation
2.1. Introducing external resources and making good use of current resources.
2.2. Enhancing teachers' professional capabilities.
3. In the effect of implementation
3.1. Focusing on the character education as the core of running a school.
3.2. Changing of the teachers, students and parents.
3.3.Gaining the support from parents and having a close relationship with the community.
