A study on the Relationship among Transformational Leadership, Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment:The Case Study of the Coast Guard Administration / 轉換型領導、工作滿足與組織承諾關聯性之研究-以行政院海岸巡防署為例

碩士 / 世新大學 / 行政管理學研究所(含博、碩專班) / 103 / The main purposes of the study are to investigate the relationships among Transformational Leadership, Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment, examine the impact of Transformational Leadership and Job Satisfaction on Organizational Commitment, and to seek the most suitable leadership and the right attitude to exert on individual expertise and capacity to the their fullest, all with the objective of improving personal job satisfaction and organizational effectiveness. This study sets out to examine the current status of the Coast Guard Administration about Transformational Leadership, Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment, to analyze the variations in Transformational Leadership, Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment among respondents with different background variables, and use regression analysis to explore the interrelationship among the constructs under study.
A questionnaire survey design was employed and quantitative research was adopted in this study. 260 questionnaires were issued to respondents drawn from the Coast Guard Administration and 249 were collected. Among those 249 questionnaire, 231(92.77%) were valid while the other 18 were invalid. After coding, the data set were later analyzed using descriptive statistics, T test, One-Way ANOVA, Pearson Correlation, and regression analysis.
The major findings of this study are as follows:
1.The CGA personnel with different personal background such as job level demonstrate significant differences in Transformational Leadership.
2.The CGA personnel with different personal background such as marriage status and job level reveal significant differences in Job Satisfaction.
3.The CGA personnel with different personal background such as marriage status, age, years of service and job level exhibit significant differences in Organizational Commitment.
4.Of the scales under study, Organizational Commitment has the highest scores, Transformational Leadership comes second, and Job Satisfaction scores the lowest.
5.Transformational Leadership has positive influence on Job Satisfaction.
6.Transformational Leadership has positive influence on Organizational Commitment.
7.Job Satisfaction has positive influence on Organizational Commitment.
Finally, the study not only provides recommendations to coast guard accordingly but also serves as a reference for those who are interested in the similar topic.
