碩士 / 聖約翰科技大學 / 企業管理系碩士班 / 103 / When entering difference cultural distance and institutional distance the host country from the home country, whether MNEs prefer JVs or WOSs has long been a paradox. The current study aims to explain the uncertainty (cultural distance and institutional distance) coexist influences entry mode choice; and when the uncertainty high or low, the entry mode has a paradox. This study hypothesizes that international experience and governance quality play a contingent role. An analysis of 2,451 entries by Taiwanese MNEs into 13 countries supports the hypotheses.
This study complements the gap, and the development of new framework. The verified and results were duly supported. This will not only clarify the issues discussed in the past scholars, but also to expand the scope of the study, further research breakthroughs in the old framework, and provide a reference for future research.
