碩士 / 樹德科技大學 / 經營管理研究所 / 103 / The purpose of this study is to understand the distribution of the background variables of female divers. The study aims to investigate the presented characteristics and differences of leisure motivation, leisure involvement, and leisure constraints and to further explore the correlations among the three variables. This study adopted questionnaires and the subjects included females who engaged in recreational diving activities in Kenting region. These female divers participated in diving activities and possessed diving license. The research tools adopted included leisure motivation, leisure involvement, and leisure constraints scales. In this study, 353 valid questionnaires were collected. The statistical methods adopted in this study included descriptive analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation, and regression analysis. The results are as the following:
1. The age of the female Self-Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus (SCUBA) divers were between 20 and 29 years old. They were singles who possess a college degree or higher. Their occupation was students, their income were between 30,001 and 50,000 TWD. Their diving experience was less than one year. They possessed open water diving license and have completed fewer than 5 oxygen cylinders. Most of these divers spent fewer than 1,000 TWD a month in their diving activities.
2. In leisure motivation, the female scuba divers showed significant differences in their age, educational level, occupation, marital status, years of diving, with or without license, level of diving, and the completed number of oxygen cylinders. In leisure involvement, the female scuba divers showed significant differences in their educational level, occupation, marital status, years of diving, level of diving, the completed number of oxygen cylinders, and their monthly expenses in diving. In leisure constraints, the female scuba divers showed significant differences in their educational level, occupation, income, years of diving, with or without license, level of diving, the completed number of oxygen cylinders, and their monthly expenses in diving.
3. Leisure motivation and leisure involvement showed significant positive correlation; leisure motivation and leisure constraints showed significant negative correlation; and leisure involvement and leisure constraints showed significant negative correlation.
4. Leisure involvement showed predictive power on leisure constraints.
