The Application of Information Technology Towards Campus Safety Research- Based on Tunghai University Case / 資訊科技應用於校園安全之研究-以東海大學為例

碩士 / 東海大學 / 資訊工程學系 / 103 / This research is mainly based on Tunghai University's case study. Under Android operating system, TUNGHAI UNIVERSITY combined OpenStreetMap application and GPS location system by using App Inventor software. In addition, QR code enabled stickers are also being applied onto campus facility equipment s to ensure street lamps' condition and user's current location are being properly reported. Once users log on to the campus safety network, professors and students can immediately acquire information such as wild dog spreading areas, street lamp working conditions, and fallen leaves spreading zones including precautious notifications during some seasons.
In regards to the shortage of related authorities to maintain campus safety due to the "open to the public" nature of Tunghai University. This research provides unified campus safety related mobile device service. It prioritized the importance of SOS signal broadcasting services and information concerning "potential risk" zones.
Therefore, it is through the expectation on standardizing campus safety related service provided on mobile devices and campus safety fortification, a school can then increase the unity and confidentiality level staffs and students have on campus safety.
