Study of Spa Hotel Management Critical Success Factors and Strategies - For Example in Chiaohsi / 溫泉旅館經營關鍵成功因素與策略之研究- 以礁溪鄉為例

碩士 / 東南科技大學 / 工業管理研究所 / 103 / The hospitality industry was highlighted by Taiwanese government recently, and then facilitated the boost of hot spring industry in Jiaoxi, Yilan. Currently, there are 103 hot spring hotels, which indicated the necessary and importance of hospitality development, and it is also very important to gather the key factors of operation and management strategies for these hotels.
This study would firstly find out the key operational and management factors for hot spring hotels via questionnaires and the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), and divided these factors as three domains: resource implications, human resource and management, and hotel features and cooperation. This study also provided the priority of these domains.
Based on the results, this study further proposed the related development strategies as short /mid/ long term perspectives. For short term, hotels should emphasize on the hotel features and cooperation, mid-term on low-risk strategies, and long-term on human resource and management, to affectively improve the operational performance of hot spring hotels.
