碩士 / 台南應用科技大學 / 視覺傳達設計系碩士班 / 103 / The Anti-Nuclear issue has became a major issue that attracts attentions among different fields globally. Visual poster design is also not an exception. This study is aimed to discuss if there is a design principle that can be followed, any related theory that can be based on, the advantage and dis-advantage of those, within the stage of poster design about anti-nuclear. The study also looks into actual anti-nuclear posters, and analysis how international designers use their design skills in their creations. Regarding the analysis of design subject, this study looks into the effect of nuclear power, the development of anti-nuclear internationally, and new topics that emerges recently. This study also looks into anti-nuclear and related poster design in Taiwan from many aspects, extending the analysis of anti-nuclear poster creation. This study collects related reports and content analysis in order to discuss how the poster is presented. First, we look into posters collected from Modern Eco - Poster 2009 until 2012, international modern poster award winner within three years and 25 of world best graphic designers on 25 years since Chernobyl posters. We code those posters in order, list out a table and collects data. Secondly, we analysis each poster’s constructing elements with symbolic theory. We also analyses how those elements are presented in each case. In third stage, we look into the result of the previous analysis and proceed with the creation of our anti-nuclear poster. However, after viewing those anti-nuclear posters, it is a serious question where if the viewer can properly understand the information from the poster creator.
Also, it is important to acknowledge the continuity of anti-nuclear movement on global scale. Progressively to understand, collecting data, and real work on showing the determination to protect Earth. We also see the trace on how general public fought with the government administrators and officers, how people fought to leave a clean land for further generations. Through the designer''s poster, the expression of the spirit of Generation Justice and New Citizens Culture concretely displayed in the process of antinuclear movement.
