The field of oceanic and water sports catch people’s eye gradually, and it can have the potential of highly diversified developments. It’s worthy of study on how to integrate the development of water sports with government agencies. The main purpose of this study is to understand the factors that influence water sports on Tamsui River. Overall, in the future, if the Tamsui River basin is supposed to become a popular water sports area, the entire regional environment has to be changed, particularly in the aspects of formulating regulations, safety education, and river basin management. In addition, those in authority develop the effective and reasonable statutes in conjunction with the canoeing, sailing, water skiing, and the implementation from other water marketing associations, which are essential to the success of recreational water activities on Tamsui River.
