A Study of Interpreters’ competence of National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium / 國立海洋生物博物館解說員專業職能之研究

碩士 / 國立中正大學 / 運動與休閒教育研究所 / 104 / The study was designed to investigate the competence and training courses of interpreters in National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium (NMMBA). NMMBA was the first museum OT and BOT in Taiwan. It’s quite different with other museums in exhibit design and biological exhibition. According to the multiple exhibition, the NMMBA was not only provide educational function, but also provide entertainment and recreation function. NMMBA was a special case to compare with other museums in Taiwan, therefor it attractive many tourists. In NMMBA, interpreter played an important character. They were the messenger of knowledge in the museum, and also a learner in the nature science. The competence of interpreter in NMMBA was very complicated to other museums in Taiwan. This study was selected 7 interpreters whom has served for more than 1 year in NMMBA to interview. Interview time from December 2015 to June 2016. The results of this study found that the NMMBA interpreter need to have the external characteristics of the clothing appearance, articulate and affability; internal characteristics of optimism and lively, attentive observation and curiosity. The competence of interpreter required of professional knowledge, the ability to reflect, interpretation skills and foreign language skills. The training courses including biological knowledge, etiquette courses, interpretation skills, oral courses, mentoring and interactive learning.
