碩士 / 長庚大學 / 電機工程學系 / 104 / Orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) system has the advantage that we can transfer a large amount of data for high speed and effective against the multi-path interference. It is widely used in various types of wireless communications systems and become one of the important developments in communication technology in recent years. Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system use plurality of transmit and receive antennas are provided spatial degrees of freedom to effectively improve the spectrum utilization of wireless communication system, and when the two systems combined (MIMO-OFDM), which will retain the existing advantages of each other. However, the synchronization problem has serious impact on the MIMO-OFDM system. The frequency offset would destroy the orthogonality among the subcarriers of the OFDM system and induce inter-carrier interference (ICI) in the received signal. The timing synchronization errors would cause inter-symbol interference (ISI). In this paper, we design a new type of training sequence, using space-time block code (STBC) structure. This training sequence will produce periodic characteristics in the transmit signal, and we use this advantage to achieve synchronization. The proposed training sequence have some advantages, it can transmit data, then transfer data and channel information need not to know can be time synchronization and frequency offset estimate.
