碩士 / 中華大學 / 運輸科技與物流管理學系 / 104 / Transit is established to serve all people. If the transport service is exclusive use for somebody, it is inequity and injustice. Taichung City designed BRT(now changed to optimize bus lane) was due to the cost, its lanes and bus stop have a slow lane between the sidewalk. Whether the barrier-free facilities satisfy the physically disabled users and the non- fixed point bus station is convenient for disable person. The limb disorder person take the BRT and step entrance have difficulty or not is a topic should be concerned.
This study aimed to discuss the barrier-free facilities of optimize lane bus stand, general stand, BRT buses and step entrance. After field observation and investigate the satisfaction of physical disabilities, the study carry out:
First, degree of physical disability and the use of assistive devices, these two variables have significant differences in satisfaction of Taichung City bus general stand. Other demographics variables have no significant differences.
Second, the satisfaction of limb disorder person about Taichung City optimize lane bus stand, general stand, BRT buses and step entrance, these four variables have significant positive correlation.
Third, the physical disorder person have less satisfaction in using the Taichung City bus facilities.
Fourth, Taichung City bus play an important role in the limb disorder person daily life.
The study recommend that we should continue to improve the facilities of Taichung City bus, to recognize the satisfaction of barrier-free facilities by doing the physical disorder survey, and using the software to support the barrier-free hardware effectively.
Further research could focus on different categories of physical disable user, proceed with more random and more large-scale survey and make a study about the bus driver’s attitude in attending to customers and operate the barrier-free facilities to promote bus accessibility satisfaction.
