The Subsurface Temperature Distribution and Variation in Jiaosi Area, Taiwan / 礁溪溫泉區之地溫分布及變化

碩士 / 嘉南藥理大學 / 觀光事業管理系 / 104 / Jiaosi has important hot-spring natural resources. According to the study, Jiaosi hot-spring has problems about the decrease in the water temperature, the water level and the range in recent years. For tourists is increasing, Jiaosi hot-spring has exceeded its security utilization limitation. This study is focus on the subsurface temperature distribution and variation to provide a reference in managing hot-spring resources in Jiaosi Area, Taiwan.
The monitored data is from 2011 to 2015 period, every six months, from drill hole measuring, adopt the same well, different year, same depth. The temperature curve was obtained by using the Mann-Kendall method that we have the chart to gauge the subsurface temperature distribution and variation.
The study results showed that the underground temperature trends are related to hydrogeology and the flow filed of groundwater. The groundwater flow directions are impacted by the exploitation of thermal water in production wells, accroding to their depths and distribution. Jiaosi hot-spring core area (upstream) is high temperature trend as a whole and it also has the most of the pumping wells. But this core area of shallow is reduced the temperature, probably because of spring wells in 20-60m place pump, leading to upper cool water down stream. Middle and lower stream’s temperature has downward trend generally, probably because of large amounts of water is pumped in core area.
