All around the islands of the South China Sea reef, all doing their best possession and expansion, so the problem lies mainly in the countries around the South China Sea Islands sovereignty and the competition for natural resources.
In recent years, around the South China Sea countries depending on the energy-rich South China Sea interests of vital interests, especially in 2010, China announced that its national "core interests", while the United States, Japan and other countries also took in the name of freedom of navigation in the South China Sea issue in practice, increased the complexity of the dispute. Through research and analysis in this period from 2010 to 2015, countries of the South China Sea conflict, and countries of the South China Sea and the United States, Japan and other countries of the South China Sea policy and positions in order to understand today's complex in the South China Sea issue and seek solution to the conflict.

In today's increasingly complex situation in the South China Sea tense moments , there’s no single country could use army motion as a solution to the dispute , the fear caused by the international community questioned, so the Chinese in dealing with the South China Sea issue should be adhered to and supported by a strong economic power , mutual goal . The South China Sea at the start of the national economies , remains stable international relations and the stability of the internal security is based on the South China Sea countries should seek active cooperation of space .
Republic of China put forward the " South China Sea Peace Initiative " in 2014, called on relevant parties to set aside sovereignty disputes and jointly develop resources in the South China Sea by peaceful means to resolve the dispute , so that , like the South China Sea and East China Sea , have become " a sea of peace and cooperation " , it is also one way to solve the dispute .
