碩士 / 建國科技大學 / 土木與防災研究所 / 104 / This research studies the physical properties of seabed sediments of south west (SW) off Taiwan. Test results show that fines content are higher than 95%, the USC (Unified Soil Classification) are mostly ML, the porosities are 50~73%. The natural water content is higher than liquid limit (LL) and liquid index (LI) is higher than 1 which indicates characteristics of sensitive soil. The one dimensional consolidation test results shows that the measured value of compression index (Cc) is lower than derived from the empirical equation proposed by former researchers.
