碩士 / 建國科技大學 / 土木與防災研究所 / 104 / Because of its simplicity and easy to operate, the vane shear test (VST) has become a popular in situ test method to obtain the undrained shear strength of cohesion soils. Nonetheless, the VST is hard to operate and time consuming when it comes to be performed under hundreds to thousands deep seabed. This study intend to develop a self-rotating shear vane equipment for the off shore site investigation. The develop device contains a torque driver, a torque gauge, drill rods, and a shear vane at the tip. A series of tests are carried out to modify and identify the function of new device. The tests include chamber tests and seabed in situ tests. Test results also compared with the results of triaxial UU tests and laboratory VST. The new developed VST device is qualified for all the requirements finally.
