碩士 / 建國科技大學 / 機械工程系暨製造科技研究所 / 104 / This study proposes heat sink module with perforated flow ducts design. Employing the numerical simulation and the experimental measurement method, the natural convection heat transfer characteristics of cylindrical heat sink with flow ducts for LED lamp are investigated. The design of cylindrical heat sinks with multi flow ducts increases the flowing ability of fluid in the thermal module, and reducing the flowing influence of fluid from the fins. It also increases the thermal convection area and inhibits the development of thermal boundary layer. The influences of the position and the number of flow ducts on the chimney effect and natural convection heat transfer were investigated in this study. The experimental results showed that the horizontal perforated flow duct fin heat sink can effectively increase the chimney effect between hot and cold air, enhancing the natural convection heat transfer efficiency and dissipating thermal heat of LED lamp. The thermal resistance of fin heat sink with horizontal perforated flow duct can be reduced about 7~8%f as compared with those of vertical perforated flow ducts and without flow ducts.
