In 1895, the island of Taiwan was a dependency of the Empire of Japan, after Qing China lost the First Sino-Japanese War to Japan and ceded Taiwan Province in the Treaty of Shimonoseki. Under Japanese rule, learning how to construct the Taiwan’s fundamental of civil engineering, through the overseas business trip experience. The study aimed to comprehend how civil engineers of Taiwan at that time obtained the latest overseas information and applied it to construction in Taiwan. Preliminary Study the overseas business trip reports how to improve Taiwan’s technical into International.
