Performance Evaluation of Taiwan's Shipping Industry / 台灣航運業之績效評估

碩士 / 朝陽科技大學 / 工業工程與管理系 / 104 / Due to the lack of nature resources in Taiwan, maintaining economical development is heavily dependent on international trading. However in recent years due to the increasingly fierce international competition and the booming mainland economy, the transformation of the domestic industrial and commercial, industrial relocation, as well as the huge business opportunities in the mainland market led to the rise of international port continent, but also to the competitiveness of Taiwan on shipping We face significant challenges.
This research was to examine the operation performance and the changed of productivity for twelve public navigation industries by using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and Malmquist Productivity Index. During this study, the main looking for 102 to 104 years in the shipping industry input-output efficiency, the input variables of the total assets, operating costs and operating expenses 3, the output variable operating income and net income before tax, the use of the indicators to identify the most efficient and the most inefficient industry, and to analyze the factors that affect the efficiency, to decision makers as a basis for reference, to enhance the business performance of the industry.
