碩士 / 佛光大學 / 資訊應用學系 / 104 / Taiwan is committed to develop tourism in recent years, it has become an indispensable part of people's daily lives. However, current tourist guide system lacks of an integrate solution so that travelers have difficulties to obtain viewpoint information or misunderstanding to attractions because the data hasn’t been updated. Moreover, so far the interface of available on-line tourist guide apps designed as a fixed-layout mode for operation combining google map navigation, which lacks of technical breakthrough and innovation.
This paper adopts Augmented Reality technique developed by Wikitude (Wikitude SDK), construct a backstage database system for automatically updating attractions data, and uses a new framework from Android called “Actionbar Scrollable Tabs” for UI design combined with mobile web techniques to develop Augmented Reality Tourist Guide System. The main purpose is to let users gain an overall viewpoint knowledge and the latest information with ease by using Augmented Reality tour guide system, furthermore, to improve former tourist guide problems.
