The Impact of Nearby Emission Source to Beach Water Quality / 海水浴場水質受鄰近排放源影響之研究

碩士 / 弘光科技大學 / 環境工程研究所 / 104 / This study examines the impact of the river systems on nearby beach water quality. In this research, the coupled computing of MIKE 21 Hydrodynamic (HD), Spectra Wave (SW), and ECO Lab (ECO) were used to find out the change of coliform count in the nearshore of Daan Beach, in different times and spaces, as affected by the interactions of waves, tidal currents, and alongside currents. This research also collected the field data and the data derived from the construction of the physical model MIKE 21 for further analysis and examination. According to the analysis of field data, the results indicate that coliform is highly associated with tide level, wave direction, wind direction, and current direction. The condition that does not comply with the water affinity standard ratio tends to happen during summer. In following condition where the wave direction is west-northwest, the wind direction is south-west and the current direction is north northeast, there is a higher possibility of high coliform concentration distribution.
Simulated with the MIKE 21 model, the results indicate that Daan Beach is significantly affected by the alongside current. The currents are prone to be affected by seasonal waves, resulting in changes to the flow. According to the field data, it can be deduced that Beishan River source shows to have a 15.2% impact on the flow to Daan Beach because of the marine climate. The result is similar to the deduction derived from the value of physical model, 16.7%. The water quality is mainly affected by the nearby emission sources. The degrees of impact depend on the directions of the waves, the directions of ocean currents (tidal current + alongside current), and wind direction that exerts different degrees of impact.
