碩士 / 國立中興大學 / 國際政治研究所 / 104 / China is actively consolidating her sea line of communications in the Indian Ocean Region in the name of rebuilding Maritime Silk Road. To achieve this goal, China has invested in ports and infrastructure constructions in several countries around the Indian Ocean. This research utilized geographic perspectives to examine China’s investments in these ports. The purpose is to see whether these ports mainly serve strategic or economic interests. Following ports will be examined in this research: Djibouti, Gwadar, Bagamoyo, Hambantota, Chittagong and Kyaukpyu.
