碩士 / 國立成功大學 / 歷史學系 / 104 / The ‘Shan Hai Jing’ graphs in Late Ming period is the earliest ‘Shan Hai Jing’ graphs that could found under the name of ‘Shan Hai Jing’ graphs nowadays. ‘New Pictures of Shan Hai Jing’ (《新刻山海經圖》) and ‘New Luo Chong lu’(New Records of Naked-Beast, 《新刻臝蟲錄》) of Hu Wen-huan(胡文煥) that published in Wan-Li 21 years (1593) are the representative of the ‘Shan Hai Jing’ graphs in Late Ming period. Hu’s ‘New Pictures of Shan Hai Jing’ and ‘New Luo Chong lu’ has showed a visualize world that included ‘Odd Peoples’ and ‘Freakish Animals’ in an illustration way to constructed ‘Shan Hai Jing’ world. Compare to ‘Zhu-Yi Men’(Categories of Various Barbarians,〈諸夷門〉) in Daily Book of Ming Wan-Li period(1573-1620), it contents not only some graphs of animals and nations come from ‘Shan Hai Jing’, but also from the real world, it can be take as a deformed ‘Shan Hai’(Mountain and Sea) graphs. This study will have a thorough investigation for Hu’s ‘Shan Hai Jing’ graphs with ‘Zhu-Yi Men’ , together with the overseas interflow of Ming’s period and the situations of Europeans get into China with the ‘New’ world knowledge, to found out how were the peoples in the Late Ming period using ‘Shan Hai Jing’ graphs to reconstruct the foreign imagination unknown world, and the significance between these imaginations and ‘Shan Hai Jing’ graphs.
