A Dynamically Adjusted Vehicles Navigation Scheme with Real-time Traffic Information to Relieve Regional Traffic Congestion in Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks / 應用於車載網路中利用即時的交通資訊動態調整車輛導航路徑紓緩區域性的交通阻塞問題

碩士 / 國立成功大學 / 電腦與通信工程研究所 / 104 / Nowadays, with the number of vehicles increasing rapidly, road traffic congestion in urban areas becomes a significant issue. When the accident occurs, it usually causes regional traffic congestion. The big events held in the certain location (e.g., sport games, concert, etc.) also cause regional traffic congestion. In this thesis, a dynamically restricted road segments protocol is proposed for quickly evacuating vehicles from the area and prohibiting vehicles from entering into the area where traffic congestion happens. The trajectory information maintained in the server assists determining the size of restricted area. In this work, the server determines the restricted area where the event occurs and then checks the position of all cars to adjust the size of restricted area. When the restricted area is determined, the server checks whether vehicles are in the restricted area or not. If vehicles are in the area, the sever uses car-flow scheme to let the vehicles leave the restricted area. The other vehicles which are out of the restricted area obtain a path to avoid the area. In addition, mechanisms of dynamically adjusted restricted area, car-flow, and temporarily restricted area are proposed to reduce regional traffic congestion problem. The simulation results demonstrate that the work, on average, could reduce 10\% travel time to evacuate vehicles, compared to the shortest path algorithm.
