碩士 / 國立嘉義大學 / 土木與水資源工程學系研究所 / 104 / In Tainan southern coast, the strong fluvial process caused the shoreline unstable. Construction of reservoirs decrease sand from upstream, and the balance of sediment transport disrupted by port and groins also caused beach erosion. For the coastal protection and management effectively, long-term shoreline observation and analysis are important ways to understand the dynamic of coastal area. In the recent years, because the impact of global climate change increase sea level rise, coastal erosion became a serious problem. After Coastal Zone Management Act effect, division of coastal zone and planning of coastal protection need the assessment through understanding the change of shoreline and vulnerability of coastal regions.
In this study, using ArcGIS and Digital Shoreline Analysis System (DSAS) analysis multi-date shorelines from 1975 to 2016 image data estimate the future shoreline. Through the future shoreline prediction and the shoreline retreat assessment of sea level rise, coastal hazard line could be mapped.
The result showed, the maximum shoreline forward was recorded along Kunshen, and the maximum shoreline backward was recorded along Chengxi. Under scenario of sea level rise 0.19 meters in 2039, the maximum impact was recorded along Xinan, and the minimum impact was recorded along Jincheng.
