Analysis of the Ocean Current near the Coast of Taiwan during a Period of 2013-2014 / 2013~2014年台灣海潮流分析之研究

碩士 / 國立高雄海洋科技大學 / 海事資訊科技研究所 / 104 / The main purpose of this thesis is to use the data of ocean current near the coast of Taiwan for the search and rescue missions at offshore marine areas. When a person falls into the sea in an accident, it is very important to find out the actual position in the marine areas. The speed and direction of ocean current related information becomes very significant due to the effectiveness for rescue. This study uses the ocean current data of radar exploration at offshore marine areas of Taiwan during a period of 2013 to 2014. The current data is available through the survey by Marine Science and Technology Center in Taiwan. The amount of data was collected per hour through the information system for the establishment of a database. This study selects six sites of buoy information to analysis the position of each buoy at a period of time. In this study, the current data is used instantly to predict the next position of the buoy after 1 hour according to the actual ocean current. The system can show the tracks of the buoy over a period of 12 hours. The rescue organization can effectively improve maritime search and rescue mission using the present proposed methodology. It helps to reduce the difficulty of the search for the maritime rescue if a person falls into the sea in an accident. It is very important to keep on the golden rescue time at sea. We may save the drowning person on the sea according to the next possible locations of the latitude and longitude. The study provides a basis to find the possibility of location for the orientation of the missing at offshore marine areas of Taiwan.
